Finding Books
URSUS and MaineCat are available from the library’s homepage: http://library.umf.maine.edu/
Materials available at other URSUS libraries can also be requested online using the Request option. Use the Search MaineCat button in URSUS to look for and request materials in MaineCat libraries.
WorldCat and WorldCat.org are available through the Indexes and Databases link on the library’s homepage: http://libraries.maine.edu/margateway/marindexesdb/alphalist.asp?Loc=far.
The National Library of Medicine’s public access catalog, LocatorPlus, is available from the NLM homepage: http://locatorplus.gov/. There is also a History of Medicine Reading Room section of the Website.
Interlibrary Loan is an option for requesting materials not available in URSUS or MaineCat. Request can be made using the online form: http://library.umf.maine.edu/ill_form.html
Note: Not all materials can be borrowed. Many libraries will not lend materials in their microfilm, video, audio, and special collections. Many also may not lend dissertations. Check with a librarian about these types of requests

HealthSource: Nursing/Academic – includes scholarly and trade publications in the areas of health and nursing.
MEDLINE - covers all areas of medicine, nursing and dentistry. Indexing for some publications starts in 1960s.
PsycARTICLES – full text articles from 53 scholarly psychology publications (1985 to present).
PsycINFO – covers articles, dissertations, and other publications in the field of psychology, psychiatry, nursing, and medicine. Indexing for some publications starting in the 1800s.
