Using library materials

Visitors may use any of the library’s materials (books, journals, newspapers, microfilm, etc.) in house.

Research support

The library contains books, journals, magazines, newspapers, films, and music in support of the curriculum at UMF. We also offer online access to reference resources and thousands of journals, magazines, and newspapers through a variety of subscription databases

Friendly and knowledgeable library staff and student workers are available to assist youwith locating materials, using the equipment, or if you have any other questions. Please feel free to ask for help.

Computer use

There are two open access computers on the first floor; printing is not available. Computers for searching URSUS (the library catalog) are located on each of the floors of the library.

Access to the campus wireless network is not available to visitors.

Photocopying

On the first floor, next to the Access Services Desk, two photocopiers are available; copies cost 10¢ per page. A change machine is located near the copiers. To save money, you can purchase a photocopy card for $8.50 at the Access Services Desk. This will allow for 100 8¢ copies plus a refund of 50¢ upon return of the used card.

Children in the library

While in Mantor Library, all children who are 15 years old and younger must be accompanied and directly supervised by a parent/adult guardian at all times. The adult is responsible for the child's behavior in an environment designed for research and study. Unescorted children will be required to leave the library.

Visitors with disabilities

The University provides reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with disabilities upon request.

Mantor Library provides access to two computer workstations (one on the first floor and one in the PMEC on the third floor) for persons with disabilities. For more information, please contact the library.
