How To Find Books, Articles, Movies, etc.

Whether you're looking for a book, journal, article, movie, CD or anything else, this page will give you an overview of how to find it.

Books	Through Mantor Library, you have access not just to the books available in the building, but also the books available throughout the state of Maine and in many libraries across the nation.
Journals, Magazines and Newspapers	Browsing through a journal on your topic can be an excellent way to come up with ideas for a research paper, since they contain papers on such a variety of issues, all related to a specific subject.
Articles	Articles are often the "bread and butter" of a successful research paper. Find out how to search them here.
Movies and Music	Mantor Library has a growing film and music collection, all of which can be found on the mezzanine level. To search for films or music, follow the same steps outlined in the books section.
Primary Sources	Your professor has asked you to find primary sources. What are they, and how do you find them?
Evaluate Sources	You've found a resource, but you're not sure if it's the right resource for you (or you haven't even considered whether or not it is). Find out how to evaluate what you've found to make sure it does what you think it does.
