  Welcome

UMF’s Mantor Library serves as a gateway to information found in a variety of resources and formats–from print to microform to online. Thanks in large part to a highly successful $1.5 million capital campaign conducted jointly with the Farmington Public Library, you can study or do research using traditional resources and those available via the Internet in comfortable surroundings. URSUS, an online catalog, houses not only the records of our nearly 100,000 volumes, but provides you access to all of the University of Maine System libraries, a collection of over two million volumes. There are approximately 550 journals in our print collection, with thousands of additional titles available full-text online. In our electronic classroom, we teach traditional library research as well as electronic information literacy, to ensure that you can locate and use information in spite of distance and regardless of format. At Mantor Library, you can browse the Internet, study alone at a carrel or with friends in one of our group study rooms, explore our online indexes and databases, or read a newspaper in our cozy browsing areas.
